Consuegra, Spain
Living in the Netherlands I’m well used to the sight of old windmills. But the Netherlands isn’t the only country in Europe with plenty of these old edifices and it’s nice to go look for different variants. Anyone familiar with the story of Don Quixote will know that Spain has a long history of windmills and I found these on a hill outside the town of Consuegra in the province of La Mancha, which is the setting for Cervantes’ epic tale.
